Honorable Deepak Obhrai’s (the longest continuously served 6 terms as Conservative MP and was appointed as dean of Canadian parliament) memorial was held in Calgary, yesterday. The gigantic, humble, giant of Canadian politics, who strongly believed in democratic values, multiculturalism, and unified Canada and India, a real patriot, who worked tirelessly to make the democratic institution stronger. 
 
 
The memorial was attended by the leader of the conservative party and Leader of the Official Opposition, Andrew Scheer, former prime minister R. H. Stephen Harper, the High Commissioner of India, His Excellency Vikas Swarup, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Peter Mckay, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, John Baird, Mayor of Calgary, Naheed Nenshi, and diplomats from different countries and members of parliament across Canada.
