IC-SEA and OFBJP-BC felicitate CM of Haryana at a glittering reception in Surrey

Surrey: Hundreds of prominent members of the South Asian community welcomed the Honourable Chief Minister of Haryana, Mr Manohar Lal Khattar, Industry Minister of Haryana, Captain Abhimanyu and the high powered business delegation travelling with the CM at a glittering reception organized by Indo-Canadian Socio Economic Association (IC-SEA) and Overseas Friends of Bhartiya Janata Party – BC (OFBJP- BC) in Surrey last week.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar talked about the proactive steps his government is taking in ensuring that a business friendly and a graft free environment  existed in Haryana encouraging foreign investors to invest in his state. He emphasized greatly upon the policy of e-governance his government has undertaken in an attempt to eliminate corruption from all levels of government.

“I am overwhelmed by the kind of welcome I have received here. I invite you to invest in Haryana and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed” said Mr Khattar.

Industry minister Captain Abhimanyu Singh too encouraged BC businesses to invest in Haryana. He thanked British Columbians for the warm welcome and said he was amazed by how well the Indian diaspora had done for themselves adding that they were successful because they still believed in the core Indian cultural values.

Mr Adiyta Tawatia, President of IC-SEA and OFBJP-BC said it was indeed a privilege to welcome Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar who has dedicated his life to community service and now at the helm of affairs in Haryana is ensuring that the state grows by leaps and bounds.

“Mr. Khattar is taking the famous slogan of Jai Jawan, Jai kisan to new heights and we wish him all the best,” said Mr. Tawatia.

The master of ceremonies at the event were Ms Mona Matta and Mr. Kamal Sharma and included a stellar presentation on the state of Haryana. The event was sponsored by Verka Food International, Northwest Freightways Ltd., Surrey Board of Trade and Canadian Nectar Products (CNP).

A small token of appreciation was presented by the IC-SEA team members, Kapil Agarwal, Rajendra Saroha, Sunil Bajaj, Vivek Savkur and Parveen Goel to all the business delegates and senior bureaucrats of State of Haryana present at the function.
